4/10/2002Red Robin is now a big chain, but this Bellevue location has been here as long as I have (over 10 years). It's one of the few places downtown open late, which makes it a big teen hangout on the weekends. Come here if you're looking for hearty greasy burgers, but not if you're looking for something light. They have a few token "light" items, but I've never had good experiences with them. This visit, we tried the Royal Red Robin burger (with cheese, bacon and a fried egg!) and a soup/salad combo. The Royal is an artery clogger, but definitely tasty. The soup and salad was disappointing... heavy soup, mediocre salad, and some butter-soaked toast on the side. At least the burger come with Red Robin's signature bottomless steak fries. While every Red Robin is a little different, Redmondites now have one right in Redmond Town Center, so the trip to Bellevue is unnecessary. However, if you happen to be in Bellevue after a late movie, Red Robin is a great option for a late-night bite. Bottom Line: Good, heavy burgers. Not for vegetarians or dieters. |
